Charter Information

Woodlake Elementary Community Charter is proud to be an LAUSD Charter School, providing a unique educational experience tailored to our students and community. As a charter school, we operate with increased flexibility in curriculum design, instructional methods, and management, allowing us to better meet the needs of our students.

 

Charter schools like ours are public schools that are open to all students, free of charge, and held to high standards of accountability. We follow the same state-mandated academic standards as other public schools but have the autonomy to innovate and implement specialized programs that reflect the interests and goals of our students and families.

 

Our charter status enables us to create a dynamic learning environment that emphasizes student achievement, community involvement, and preparing our students to be "Ready for the World" as outlined in the LAUSD Strategic Plan.
